AI Headshots Sorta Work

I gave AI headshots a try and it’s not bad. Some are quite good, but I’d call it a 7/10 over all. I made and attached a grid of the results, but I mixed in one real picture. Any guesses? The hardest part was that it required 10-20 selfies with different backgrounds and outfits, but since I don’t take a lot of selfies I had to run around my house finding backgrounds and changing clothes for 30 minutes to generate enough training data!

Virtual Influencers - From Cartoons to Deep Fakes

Studio71 Germany has recently launched not one but two virtual influencers and they’ve done a great job with the implementation and marketing around this project (disclosure: I am the global CTO of Studio71). I’ve been thinking about it a lot and on the one hand this idea of a “fake” or “virtual” influencers comes and goes over the years and every time it comes back we all like to pretend that it’s a crazy idea.
